You start your system and its running so slow? Applications taking too much of memory? You are loosing drive space magically? What you do then? We all blame our hardware and Windows to be responsible for that. But in reality its not the sole responsible thing. You see operating system are made to run your applications but Windows is not designed according to different applications, rather its just opposite.

We install so many software, most of the time we don’t know what it’s doing in the background. Many applications are resource eaters. They run faster but then they don’t let other applications run the same way. What do you then, un-install it right? But your system will still run slow.

If we take a closer look, its more important to understand how Operating systems and applications run. Every installation does something, when an application runs it creates temporary files but they don’t remove it most of the time. Your system gets older and your file ages. Even after uninstall, applications don’t remove everything. Thus you system will remain slow.

The best BitTorrent client, µTorrent, just released it’s latest version. It has now much improved disk caching and other optimizations for faster download speed.

I immediately experienced it’s increased speed on a torrent that was being downloaded at a maximum speed of 15kB/s. Now with the same torrent and the latest version of µTorrent I get maximum speeds of 40kB/s

Yahoo Messenger 8.0 beta has launched today for Windows. They are also releasing a software development kit to allow third parties to create content plugins that users can add to their Yahoo IM. Plugins can be built using javascript, flash, or both.

As you may know Microsoft had decided to offer Windows Vista Beta 2 to the public for free. You are given two options-download the file or order a DVD. The download is about 3.2 GB.

Due to heavy downloads, Microsoft’s servers are under severe strain and they are now strongly pushing the DVD option. Microsoft, of course, has chosen to ignore the most efficient file distribution method in existence - bittorent. Chris Pirillo and Jake Ludington have, without any endorsement from Microsoft, created VistaTorrent with instructions on downloading the file through Bittorent. They also point to the Microsoft site that will generate a key for the software.

Now since Windows Vista Beta is available on BitTorrent, I might consider downloading it. What about you?
