Sociable Bookmarking Plugin 1.1 released

Social bookmarking sites allow websurfers to save, catalog, and share interesting pages they find online. The Sociable plugin for WordPress appends links for your readers to use those sites to the end of each of your blog’s posts, increasing your potential audience.

The latest version of Sociable hooks the_content() and the_excerpt() and so does not require you to edit your theme files. I highly recommend you to use this plugin.

Common Weblogging Mistakes

A weblog is a compilation of thoughts, ideas, facts or news that someone has decided to put online. One of its greatest benefits is that it frees us from ‘Web Design’. You write what you want, click a button and its posted on the Internet. The need for page design in the case for blogs is not compulsary. WordPress 2.0.2 security release

Matt has posted WordPress 2.0.2, which is a security fix release. If you run a WordPress blog, update it ASAP - you don’t want to wait until people figure out how to exploit the security flaw in WP 2.0.1.

The problems addressed are unannounced XSS issues privately discovered and reported to the WordPress team. Thanks to Mark Jaquith, Robert Deaton, and David House for assisting with this release.
