I would have expected every 7 days or twice a month or something. Either way, I think it's a good move, although to gain the SEO benefits (a link back to the site of your choice with the anchor text of your choice) you'll have to remain a relative constant on the list. Links that come and go aren't worth much in the eyes of the search engines. Just out of curiosity how did you come up with 6 days? I would have expected every 7 days or twice a month or something.
