    Hi John, Remember me?
It’s good to see that Wordpress is keeping up it’s reputation as a state of the art product. I only wish there was a free webhost like Wordpress.com that gave you a full wordpress install instead of the MU version.

Just an FYI: at some point in a recent release Wordpress added the SCRIPT tag to the elements that get spacing around them, and it caused my CJ affiliate links that are JavaScript only to have their own line in my Wordpress posts and pages. Doh!

    John,

I appreciate you keeping us up to date with Wordpress and their releases. Can you touch more on if its worth upgrading? As simple as it is said to do the upgrade, I get worried becuase of the plugins being used. Do you know if most plugins are ok for the update… maybe it would be easier to discover a list of plugins that are not working? A few people were having trouble with The Ultimate Tag plugin… that seems to be better now… but I am still nervous to upgrade.

ngeblogging- I recommend upgrading to the latest WordPress version, 2.1.1

Garry- I have upgraded this blog to Wordpress 2.1.1 as most of the plugins I use are compatible now, even UTW.

You can find the list of plugins compatible with WordPress 2.1 here
