People become to obsessed with their Technorati rankings. If you're writing for Bloggers (i.e. JohnTP, Problogger) then fine it makes sense to be ranked high but if your content is for the everyday joe shmoe or some type of niche then chances are they dont care about your rank. Also, your rank on Technorati has almost nothing to do with how you rank on Google. My rank on Technorati sucks but on Google searches for my niche I come out on the first or second page of results. Sometimes even at the top of the first page of search results.
