How to Add Related Posts to your Feed
I have always recommended the Related Posts plugin for WordPress that displays the related entries to a post. Visitors that reach your blog posts from Search Engines will be looking for a particular information and if you list out the related entries to that post, they are likely to visit those pages too thereby increasing pageviews. That is why I recommended the Landing Sites WordPress Plugin too which allows you to include a short welcome message with links to articles on your blog that match their query they made on the Search Engine.
All this helps you to increase pageviews by visitors to your blog. But what about your subscribers? Yes, from now on, thanks to TechBuzz, we can enable Subscribers to visit more pages than they usually do by adding Related Posts to your Feed thereby increasing pageviews.
This can be done by editing your wp-rss2 file which generates your RSS feed. So how do you add related posts to your feed?
- download and install Related posts WordPress Plugin
- download this file and replace your exisitng wp-rss2 file
- deactivate Feedburner Summary Burner if you have activated it
Now stay back and watch your Pageviews increase ![]()

Feedburner Summary Burner will cut your post after certain amount of characters that you specify. So if you use it, Related Posts for Feeds will not be displayed. This does not affect Related Posts for your blog.

That’s actually pretty neat John. I’m going to have to try it out.
