Its true, sometimes when the page is waiting to load a final widget or whatnot, the tabs don't collapse. This isn't the most perfect or elegant solution, but its better than having a massive sidebar. I'll also take the criticism regarding style. Its not pretty, but its very functional. I have yet to find a better option that isn't too hard to configure or too flashy (movements and ajaxy stuff).
