How to make the Matrix Effect

The Matrix Effect is very easy to accomplish, all you need is 3 simple filters.

Here’s how you do it…

Step 1:

Create a new document of any size. I have used 300px by 300px for this tutorial.

Click D on your keyboard to reset the colours. Okay, now you can go to Filter > Texture > Grain. For the settings use 100 for Intensity and 100 for Contrast and use a vertical Grain Type. Click OK. This is what you will get…

Step 2:

Now, go to Filter > Artistic > Neon Glow, use a Glow Size of 6 and a Glow Brightness of 15. For the Glow Color, use #00FF00

Final Step :
Finally, you can go to Filter > Stylize > Glowing Edges. Put in these settings:

And you are done! Here is the final image you have made:
