Windows Vista Beta Available on Bittorent

As you may know Microsoft had decided to offer Windows Vista Beta 2 to the public for free. You are given two options-download the file or order a DVD. The download is about 3.2 GB.

Due to heavy downloads, Microsoft’s servers are under severe strain and they are now strongly pushing the DVD option. Microsoft, of course, has chosen to ignore the most efficient file distribution method in existence – bittorent. Chris Pirillo and Jake Ludington have, without any endorsement from Microsoft, created VistaTorrent with instructions on downloading the file through Bittorent. They also point to the Microsoft site that will generate a key for the software.

Now since Windows Vista Beta is available on BitTorrent, I might consider downloading it. What about you?

Preparation for the K2 Mod Tutorial

I am currently preparing for the ‘How to create your own custom K2 Scheme’ tutorial. This is especially for the people who are new to K2 WordPress Theme and would like to modify it to get the theme they want. I have decided to explain on a series of posts.

If you are preparing, then why this post? I have put up this post so that you can suggest what I should cover on this series. I need your questions to get ideas on what to cover.

If you have any questions feel free to ask here so that I can cover it on the next part of the series.

Let me now get back to work, while you fire up all your doubts on modifying K2 :-)

How to reset your password on Windows XP

The following tip is something I found months ago and was burried on one of my backup CDs. I found it again and thought of putting it here for my readers.

A few changes to the Comment Section

I made a few changes to the comments section like adding Comment Guidelines. I also edited the Gravatar code such that your Gravatars will be linked to your website and not to the Gravatars site.

I hope this stops all those self-promotion comments, which will now be deleted.

How to do the Gravatar trick? You can find the answer here.

Introducing ContentWise K2 Scheme

After hours of hard work I finished the design of the new K2 Scheme. I call this scheme ContentWise.

I would like everyone’s opinion on the new design. If you still see the old theme, please clear your browsers cache.

Some readers reported that this theme takes a lot of time to load and that the more link overlaps the menu like seen here. Have you faced any such problems?

Please drop a comment on what you think about the new redesign. And please report any bugs you may come across.
